Turning Point Marks 10th Anniversary with قلت لي تيتا

Turning Point Books is celebrating its 10th anniversary with, among other things, the release of Teta’s Wisdom / قلت لي تيتا. (It’s a bilingual book; I prefer the Arabic title.)

Written/edited by Hiba El Chaarani and illustrated by Angela Nurpetlian, it includes grandmotherly advice, recipes, and memorable sayings. The recipes apparently were donated by chef and writer Anissa Helou. Fifty percent of proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Association of Lebanon.

Copies should be available throughout Lebanon, as well as in the Virgin stores in Cairo, the Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain, and Qatar, and a few other locations. The book also can be purchased online, from Amazon.co.uk and elsewhere.

I have not seen inside the book (except as customers flip through it in this YouTube video) but it certainly seems a worthy cause.
